The Role

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an early-career civil or geotechnical engineer with a relevant degree or HNC (or currently working towards one on a part-time basis). Some exposure to ground engineering, geotechnical, or civil projects would be advantageous, along with an interest in progressing towards a recognised professional qualification such as ICE or GeolSoc.

You will be enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to develop within a hands-on site environment, with strong communication and organisational skills. The role suits someone who is eager to build their technical, operational, and commercial understanding while working across a varied range of projects in a fast-paced setting. A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and confidence in engaging with colleagues, site teams, and clients are essential, alongside a willingness to take ownership, solve problems, and follow tasks through to completion.

In return, you will gain valuable hands-on experience across site operations, design implementation, and commercial management, as well as exposure to a wide range of ground improvement techniques and projects within a leading UK contractor. You will be supported in your professional development and chartership journey and have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers within a multidisciplinary team.
